Have you ever wondered if animals also go on dates? Well, it seems like they do! In a recent video shared by the USA Today, a pair of endangered Galapagos tortoises went on their first date in the pandemic style – via FaceTime. The couple is said to be waiting to meet each other for over a year now.
According to them, the duo named Hugo and Estrella were quite slow in the beginning but slowly started coming out of their shells.
Hugo, who is 70 years old now, has been living at the Australian Reptile Park since 1963 and his chosen mate Estrella was supposed to arrive at the Reptile Park from Germany in 2020. But this got postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Now, she is in quarantine till September.
However, the duo is now feeling loved through FaceTime.
