Watch: Three farmers stranded as irrigation tank overflows in Telangana’s Siddipet

Three farmers were stranded near Pothareddypet in Siddipet after Pedda Cheruvu began overflowing on Wednesday night. Identified as Sherla Raju, Gopal, and Sudarshan, they were trapped while working in fields. Police, led by Commissioner Anuradha, launched rescue efforts.

Siddipet: Three farmers remained stranded on the other side of a minor irrigation tank at Pothareddypet in Akberpet-Bhumpally mandal since Wednesday night after the tank began overflowing.

The stranded farmers, identified as Sherla Raju, Gopal and Sudarshan, all residents of Chinna Nizampet, had gone to their agricultural fields in the evening when Pedda Cheruvu at Pothareddypet started overflowing.


On receiving information, Commissioner of Police B Anuradha, along with the police team, reached the location to carry out rescue operations.
