Watch: Three killed as car runs amuck in Nizamabad
The driver was apparently inebriated and lost control of the vehicle and ran over a motorcycle before ploughing into a roadside hotel.
Nizamabad: Three persons including a woman were killed on the spot, when an SUV ran amuck in Bada Bheemgal village of Nizamabad district on Saturday afternoon, police said. At least three persons are injured in the incident.
The SUV, it was said, was being driven by some persons who came to Nizamabad for construction of the two bedroom houses. The driver was apparently inebriated and lost control of the vehicle and ran over a motorcycle before ploughing into a roadside hotel.
Police said one of the motorcyclists and an aged couple sitting in the hotel were killed on the spot. The dead were identified as Bhumanna (48), Rajanna (70) and Bhodevi (70). The driver Rakesh, a native of Maharashtra was taken into custody.
