Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, two persons riding a bike were brutally beaten up on a busy road in Bandlaguda by a group of men following a minor altercation with a car driver on Sunday evening.
The assault was captured on mobile phone cameras and shared on social media, drawing widespread condemnation.
In the video, a group of people are seen abusing and hitting the two men, who had apparently fallen on the road after colliding with the car. The attackers also used a cricket bat to hit the victims. The car bore a sticker of “Area Sabha Member.”
After the video went viral and raised questions over the law and order situation in the city, Bandlaguda police registered a case against unknown persons and began investigation.
Police said they are trying to trace the vehicle and identify those involved in the assault with the help of its registration number.
