Watch: Two killed, six critically injured after tyre burst sends car airborne on Hyderabad–Vijayawada highway
Two people were killed and six others critically injured after a car reportedly suffered a tyre burst, became airborne and landed on two oncoming vehicles near Gundrampally on the Hyderabad–Vijayawada National Highway, causing a major traffic disruption.

Nalgonda: Two persons died and at least six others were injured critically, when a car flew into air after a tyre burst and fell on two other cars coming in the opposite direction near Gundrampally village on Hyderabad – Vijayawada National Highway on Sunday afternoon.
The freak accident led to a massive traffic jam on the National Highway and police had to struggle for over an hour to extricate the injured persons from the wrecked mangle of metal. The two deceased persons were identified as Kasireddy Devendar Reddy and Saritha. Both were reported to be residents of Akkanapally village in Narketpally mandal.
Reports said the first car suffered a tyre burst and hit the road divider. It then flew into air and fell on two other cars coming in the opposite direction. The other injured persons were rushed to a government hospital in Choutuppal.
