A midnight robbery attempt at Ajay Agarwal’s residence in Jubilee Hills was foiled after the family alerted police. The long-time watchman allegedly conspired with five others to loot the house. All accused, armed with knives, were arrested.
Hyderabad: A midnight robbery attempt at a residence in Jubilee Hills was foiled by the prompt response of local police.
The incident took place at the home of Ajay Agarwal, where the house’s long-time watchman, identified as Radha Chand (40), allegedly conspired with five others to loot the property.
According to police, Radha Chand, who had been working as a security guard at the residence for several years, hatched a plan to commit the robbery along with his associates. On Sunday midnight, the gang reportedly arrived at the house armed with knives and ropes.
They first attacked the driver and attempted to intimidate the family members inside the house.
Alarmed family members alerted the Jubilee Hills Police, who rushed to the spot and nabbed the suspects.
Police confirmed that five persons involved in the attempted robbery have been arrested, including the watchman believed to be the mastermind behind the plan.
