Water level surges in Himayathsagar reservoir after heavy rains
Following recent heavy rains, the water level in Hyderabad’s Himayathsagar reservoir rose by one foot, reaching its Full Tank Level (FTL) of 1763 feet,
Hyderabad: Following inflows from heavy rains in Hyderabad during the last couple of days, the water level in Himayathsagar rose by a foot on Wednesday.
Officials of Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) are closely monitoring the water levels in the twin reservoirs, Osmansagar and Himayathsagar, on an hourly basis.
According to an official release issued by HMWSSB on water levels recorded at 6 pm, the present water level in Osmansagar was 1782 feet, against the reservoir’s Full Tank Level (FTL) of 1790 feet, with inflows recorded at 150 Cusecs.
In Himayathsagar, the water level stood at 1763 feet against the reservoir’s Full Tank Level (FTL) of 1763 feet and inflows of 2,000 Cusecs.
