Water released from Lower Manair Dam for Yasangi crops
Water from the Lower Manair Dam in Karimnagar has been released through the Kakatiya canal to support irrigation during the Yasangi season. MLA Dr Kavvampally Satyanarayana and SUDA chairman Komatireddy Narender Reddy inaugurated the release at the LMD project.

Karimnagar: Water from the Lower Manair Dam was released through the Kakatiya canal to supply irrigation water for crops during the ongoing Yasangi season.
Manakondur MLA Dr Kavvampally Satyanarayana, along with SUDA chairman Komatireddy Narender Reddy, released the water by switching on a regulator at the LMD project on Wednesday.
The release of water will continue under an on-off system until March 31, covering an ayacut of 6.90 lakh acres extending up to Kodad in Suryapet district.
In Zone I, water will be released for a period of seven days, while in Zone II, the supply will continue for eight days, officials said.
