Hyderabad: The newly appointed TPCC chief A Revanth Reddy accused Telugu States Chief Ministers of enacting drama in the name of inter-State water disputes in Krishna basin.
Former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy had no role in the issue but his son and AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy was planning to draw additional water illegally, said Revanth Reddy while addressing media persons here on Thursday.
Politicians were raking up differences by unnecessarily criticising YS Rajashekhara Reddy, he said and asked YS Sharmila, who is working to launch a political party in Telangana, whether this water theft was acceptable.
The TPCC president accused Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao of trying to derive political mileage through water sharing disputes. Mere bashing by Telangana Ministers over Andhra Pradesh government will not serve the purpose but legal action has to be taken, said Revanth Reddy.
