Water supply to be disrupted for 24 hours in parts of Hyderabad
Water supply will be disrupted for 24 hours in several Greater Hyderabad areas from 10 am on August 17 to 10 am on August 18 as HMWSSB undertakes pumping main, gravity main and valve replacement works at Singur Project.

Hyderabad: Officials of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) will take up junction works on the pumping main, connection works of the gravity main and replacement of several valves at the Phase-IV pump house located on the Peddapur campus at the Singur Project, which supplies drinking water to Greater Hyderabad.
“These works will be carried out from 10 am on August 17 until 10 am on August 18. As a result, the water supply will be disrupted for 24 hours in certain areas, with the drinking water supply being either completely or partially affected, while in some other areas water may be supplied at low pressure,” according to a press release on Saturday.
The affected areas include bulk connections in and around BHEL, MIG-I & II, Rail Vihar, Chandanagar, Indian School of Business (ISB), KPHB Colony, Shaikpet, Kokapet, Manikonda, Narsingi, Gayatri Nagar, Borabanda and ESI, SR Nagar, Erragadda, Yellareddyguda, Ameerpet, Vengalrao Nagar, Sanath Nagar, NIMS, Banjara Hills, Tattikhana, Somajiguda, BS Makta, MS Makta, Kondapur, Aditya Nagar, Prem Nagar, Hafeezpet, Mayuri Nagar, Gokul Plots, Malaysian Township, Hyder Nagar, Reddy’s Labs, Coca-Cola, IDA, Bollaram and other areas.
The HMWSSB appealed to consumers in these areas to use water sparingly, said the press release.
