Water supply to be disrupted for 24 hours in parts of Hyderabad from 6am on January 6
The affected areas include Patancheru Industrial Area, University of Hyderabad, BHEL Township, BHEL Factory, SBI Training Center, Doyens Colony, Hafeezpet, Madinaguda, Gangaram, Chandanagar, Lingampalli, Jyoti Nagar, Ashok Nagar, RC Puram and Patancheru.

Hyderabad: There will be disruption in water supply in some parts of the city and low-pressure supply in some places for 24 hours from 6 am on January 6.
The affected areas include Patancheru Industrial Area, University of Hyderabad, BHEL Township, BHEL Factory, SBI Training Center, Doyens Colony, Hafeezpet, Madinaguda, Gangaram, Chandanagar, Lingampalli, Jyoti Nagar, Ashok Nagar, RC Puram and Patancheru.
According to a press release issued by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board on Friday, leakages have occurred in the pipeline in the Manjeera Water Supply Scheme Phase-1, which supplies drinking water to Hyderabad.
Repair and junction works were being taken up to stop these leakages, the press release said adding there will be interruption in drinking water supply at many places in these areas during 24 hours, and water supply will be at low-pressure in some places.
Consumers in areas where disruptions occur were requested to use drinking water economically.
