Karimnagar: Public representatives from the Huzurabad Assembly constituency on Monday were unequivocal in stating that they are loyal by choice to the TRS and refuted allegations made by former Minister Eatala Rajender that their loyalty was being ‘bought’ by the ruling party.
MPPs, ZPTCs, MPTCs, sarpanches, councillors and other public representatives from the constituency met BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar at a hotel in Karimnagar and reiterated their stand insofar as the party is concerned.
Participating in the press meet along with the Minister, they made it clear that they are with the TRS and supported the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. They said they had supported the former Minister in the past but had changed their stance following the developments in the wake of allegations of land grabbing by him and his family.
Vanamala, ZPTC from Veenavanka, pointed out that while the entire country is reeling under crisis due to the Covid outbreak, Telangana had become self-sufficient only due to the visionary decisions taken by the Chief Minister. “Water is being supplied to agriculture lands, completing the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS) in record time,” she said.
Renuka, Veenavanka MPP, said she was elected MPP on the TRS ticket and because of Chandrashekhar Rao. Welfare schemes such as Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, Kalyana Lakshmi, Shaadi Mubarak and others introduced by the Chief Minister are helping many.
Bakka Reddy, another public representative, said he had supported Rajender in the past but now changed his mind following the statements made by the former Minister after he was dropped from the State Cabinet.
Jammikunta Market Committee chairman Vala Balakishan Rao warned of legal action against people who are spreading propaganda against the TRS and its leadership on social media.
Kamalakar, pointing out that with 95 per cent of public representatives from the Huzurabad constituency declaring loyalty to the TRS and supporting the leadership of Chandrashekhar Rao, it is clear that there is no truth in the allegations levelled by Rajender. All the public representatives are supporting Chandrashekhar Rao, who achieved statehood for Telangana, he said.
Besides completing the KLIS, the Chief Minister introduced 24-hour power supply, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima and other schemes for the welfare of people, Kamalakar said, adding that people were convinced that development of the State is possible only with Chandrashekhar Rao as Chief Minister.
