Hyderabad: Smart Pharma, a cloud-based software-as-a-service (SAAS) startup, started in 2020 providing subscription-based software solutions has raised seed funding to the tune of Rs 2 crore from an undisclosed investor in the pharmaceutical industry.
The company is part of WE Hub’s second incubation cohort and is one of 26 startups from across 16 cities in India. Bootstrapped since inception by the founders, Smart Pharma provides a SAAS-based solution for pharma distributors, retailers, wholesale, and manufacturers.
The application enables customers to digitalise their operations and covers online billing, inventory management, product tracking, accounting, customer relation management, analytics and dashboard. All the features are designed keeping in mind the multiple pain points that are faced in the pharma industry.
Telangana Industries Minister KTR congratulated the startup and commended WE Hub’s support to women-led tech startups to create avenues and bridge technical, mentoring and funding gaps.
“We have created the product, Smart Pharma to accelerate the secure digitisation of the supply chain in healthcare. The SAAS-based multifunctional intuitive platform, is designed keeping in mind the multiple pain points,” said Saketha, founder of Smart Pharma.
Highlighting the support she received from WE Hub, Saketha said, “WE HUB is a unifying platform for women entrepreneurs. It provides not just the incubation support but access to an unparalleled network of venture capitalists, technical mentors and global markets.”
Deepti Ravula, CEO of WE Hub, said, since the start of the year, women-owned businesses saw a sharp decline in revenue and women founded startups saw a funding drop of 24 per cent. Even in this climate, WE Hub has been diligently supporting its technology startups through mentoring, product refinement, technology enhancement and access to finance.
