Hyderabad: After a successful stint with the first cohort, Telangana government-led incubator for women entrepreneurs WE Hub has announced the opening of applications for the second cohort of its UPsurge programme. The pre-incubation programme being implemented in partnership with the Australian Consulate General, Chennai aims to help nascent entrepreneurs establish an enterprise of their own.
The 12-week programme will provide the required tools for entrepreneurs to translate their ideas into sustainable business models. The applications for the second cohort are open from September 3 to October 3, 2021 and the tentative kick-off date of the programme is October 21. In the first cohort, the programme had helped 40 entrepreneurs from the different States of India with 50 per cent of entrepreneurs coming from Telangana.
“We got over 500 applications for the first cohort and had provided handholding to over 40 of them through our programme which got extended to five months due to Covid-19. Through our second cohort, we are hoping that we can help 40 more entrepreneurs through our programme. Our target is to help 240 women entrepreneurs through our UPsurge programme which will be done in four cohorts,” said an official associated with the programme.
