Hyderabad: In order to provide financial assistance to early-stage startups led by women entrepreneurs, WE Hub has been selected under the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme, which provides financial assistance to startups for proof of concept, prototype development, product trials, market entry, and commercialisation.
As per the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme website, the seed fund will be disbursed through eligible incubators and WE Hub is one of the incubators selected. The scheme runs under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
“Getting financial support at the right time along with mentoring technical support and organisational management is a crucial step any incubator can do for an entrepreneur. We are looking forward to enhance our ongoing incubation programme with the grant that we have received from Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade. We look forward to supporting about 30 women entrepreneurs from the urban and rural areas of Telangana through the programme,” said Deepthi Ravula, CEO, WE Hub.
WE Hub has been selected for SISFS under the DPIIT to provide financial assistance of up to Rs 70 lakh to early-stage startups and women-led startups can apply for the fund at https://seedfund.startupindia.gov.in/.
As per the SISFS website, the call for applications from incubators and startups is year-round, it is sector-agnostic, has no mandatory physical incubation and the startups can apply to three incubators simultaneously.
