Week-long celebrations at Pallavi school to mark Shakespeare’s birthday

Hyderabad: William Shakespeare’s birthday anniversary week celebrations were virtually celebrated by students of class IX and X students. The programme began with a welcome address by K Pragnya of class X.
Sparsh Singh of class X gave a brief introduction of the life and work of Shakespeare. Soha Shaik of class X, Aayushi Dipankar of class IX presented a monologue of Lady Macbeth and Portion of Macbeth and Antonio and Cleopatra respectively. Sonnet numbers 18 and 27 were presented by Zainab and Netra Kanakam of class IX, Sai Pritam of class IX made a video presentation on how Shakespeare’s works are inspiring the young directors to make wonderful movies.
K Prarthana’s presentation on strong women characters in Shakespeare’s novels and drama gave an insight into the way the women lived in those years and their challenges. The quiz by Ananya was thoroughly enjoyed by students and teachers, it will surely inspire the young students to read more of Shakespearean literature. Principal Meethali Archit’s address to students was inspiring and encouraging. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Rajeswari.
