Hyderabad: Be grateful to the past and welcome the New Year with fresh hope, Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat said here on Monday.
Speaking at the New Year celebrations held at the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate, Bhagwat said the staff of Rachakonda Commissionerate played a significant role in completing numerous tasks in the previous year successfully and lauded them for working with utmost enthusiasm whenever required.
The staff worked round the clock tirelessly for the allotment process of employees to new local cadres as per the new zonal system in the State which has been done at the district, zonal and multi-zonal level, he said, adding that the Rachakonda Police were striving hard to keep the society peaceful in all possible ways and that the Preventive Detention Act was invoked against 171 persons in 2021.
He also advised the staff to take appropriate precautions besides following the Covid-19 protocol and to be more vigilant in view of the rising cases of the Omicron variant.
