Hyderabad: As soon as the news of a possible suspension of social media giants Twitter and Facebook in India broke out, concerned tweeple began tweeting about their experiences on the microblogging site. Some of them took it to the extent of bidding of goodbye to their followers.

On the other hand, some wrote that the suspension was happening for good, adding that it will put an end to communal hatred and unnecessary politics. While people call it propaganda, Twitter has also been instrumental in bringing overnight fame for many politicians, actors, and common men alike. During the ongoing pandemic, this website has also helped several good samaritans reach out to the needy.
The ‘toolkit row’, which was followed by the Delhi police raiding Twitter India offices on May 24 made things worse by giving rise to speculations over the future of the microblogging site in the country
What remains to be seen is whether or not operations of Twitter and Facebook will be suspended from May 26.
