Wet beginnings for Friday in Hyderabad; two-day yellow alert issued
Several localities in the city, including Saroornagar, Hayathnagar, Uppal and Bahadurpura, witnessed light showers upto 2.8 mm.

Hyderabad: Due to a low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal, the city received a few bouts of early morning showers on Friday. The India Meteorological Department, Hyderabad has issued a two-day yellow alert for the city and a few other districts.
Several localities in the city, including Saroornagar, Hayathnagar, Uppal and Bahadurpura, witnessed light showers upto 2.8 mm. Saidabad received the highest rainfall of 3.3 mm in the morning. The maximum temperature recorded in the city was 24.2 degree Celsius, while the minimum temperature was 22 degree Celsius. As per IMD-H, the city will continue to enjoy the thick cloud cover for a few more days.

According to the forecast by the Telangana State Development Planning Society, most parts of the city will receive upto 2.5 mm rainfall on Friday.
Meanwhile, many districts are also receiving light to moderate rainfall. On Friday, districts including Suryapet, Rangareddy, Nagarkurnool and Nalgonda received rainfall upto 5.8 mm. Thungathurthi in Suryapet received the highest rainfall of 8.3 mm.

- Uppal – 2.3 mm
