WhatsApp introduces new features to enhance status updates with music, layouts, and interactive stickers

Among the new features is Layout, which allows users to turn up to six photos into a customized collage using editing tools to arrange them as desired. Another key addition is More with Music, letting users create a Status entirely centered around a particular song or use a music sticker to set the right mood.

Hyderabad: WhatsApp has come up with new updates targeted at making Status more communicative and interactive. The messaging platform, which belongs to Meta, announced several new tools that users would soon be able to use to share moments of every day or special ones in a more engaging way.

Layout being one of the new features allows users to take as many as six photos into a tailored collage, with editing tools for arranging them as desired. More with Music is another big addition, allowing users to make their own Status around a particular song or simply drop in a music sticker to set the vibe.

This update also brings Photo Stickers for any picture to be turned into a sticker that can then be resized, shaped to form a Status; then there’s the roll-your-own Add Yours sticker: post a prompt alongside a picture for your friends to answer by posting their own related updates, locking in community engagement.

These features allow the users much more creative control and say in their Status updates. WhatsApp confirmed that the rollout of these features will start very soon and then go global in the coming months.

Using these features, WhatsApp wishes to make Status a place where one can do more dynamic, personal things to keep in touch with the people that really matter in one’s life.
