Mumbai: Priyanka Chopra has been ruling the silver screen for more than 2 decades now, but did you know that during her interaction with actress Simi Garewal on the popular chat show, ‘Rendezvous with Simi Garewal’, the ‘Desi Girl’ had revealed what she does not like about Bollywood.
PeeCee shared that she does not appreciate the fact that the industry is surrounded by fake and pretentious people.
The ‘Barfi’ actress even admitted that she herself had started to become like the rest of them in the beginning of her career, turning into someone she is not.
Priyanka was heard saying, “I don’t like people who are pretentious, and most of them are. I mean, we do have intelligent people around, but there are so many people who are so fake, that’s something I just cannot stand. I mean, I think even I was in the beginning, very very much. That is completely and entirely not what I am.”
Following her Bollywood debut with ‘The Hero: Love Story of a Spy’ in 2003, Priyanka cemented her position as a bankable actress with movies such as ‘Andaaz (2003)’, ‘Aitraaz (2004)’, ‘Krrish (2006)’, ‘Don (2006)’, ‘Fashion (2008)’, ‘Barfi! (2012)’, ‘Mary Kom (2014)’, and ‘Bajirao Mastani (2015)’.
After making a mark for herself in the Indian film industry, PeeCee has also successfully managed to create quite a buzz in Hollywood with ‘Citadel’, ‘The Bluff’, and ‘Heads of State’.
Up next, Priyanka is all set to make a comeback to Indian cinema as she has been roped in as the leading lady for SS Rajamouli’s forthcoming action-adventure drama, ‘Varanasi’.
Priyanka will be seen essaying the role of Mandakini, a fierce historian, in her next. She will reportedly accompany protagonist Rudhra (Played by Mahesh Babu) on his globetrotting mission to save the holy city of Varanasi from an asteroid named Shambhavi.
