Telangana Assembly witnessed a rare scene when Chief Minsiter Revanth Reddy walked upto his staunch opponent and Leader of the Opposition K Chandrasekhar Rao and shook hands with him.
Hyderabad: The ongoing winter session of the Telangana Legislative Assembly witnessed an extremely rare scene of the Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy shaking hands with his bete noire and leader of Opposition K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday.
K Chandrashekhar Rao sporting a Red-shawl was seated in the Leader of Opposition seat, when Revanth Reddy walked upto him accompanied by some Congress members. On noticing Revanth Reddy approaching him with folded hands, Chandrasekhar Rao stood up with folded hands. Both the leaders then shook hands as legislators seated in the Opposition benches also sprang to their feet and watched the rare development.
Revanth Reddy is known to have a particular penchant for launching unbridled criticism, often bordering on personal abuse of Chandrasekhar Rao and BRS working president K T Rama Rao. His recent speech targetting KCR in Kodangal constituency raised a political storm in Telangana as Revanth Reddy used choicest epithets and abuses agaisnt his bete noire.
