Hyderabad: A group of paramedical college girl students staged a demonstration here on Thursday, holding placards and displaying a postcard addressed to Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, questioning an unfulfilled election promise.
The placards read Priyanka ji where is my scooty? The Telangana Congress, as part of its Hyderabad Youth Declaration before the assembly polls announced electric scooters to every girl student of 18-years of age and above. The party released this declaration in the presence of Priyanka.
“Your party promised to provide scooters to young women in Telangana during the elections. Now that the elections are over, have you forgotten your promise?” the students questioned Priyanka. The protest highlighted growing concerns over unkept assurances made during the campaign.
