Who is the Telugu female actor detained by NCB for drug abuse?
After a slew of raids conducted recently in Bengaluru, where some celebrities got arrested, another instance of actor's involvement in narcotics has caused a flutter in the film circles on Sunday.
Hyderabad: Yet another actor from the South, specifically from the Telugu film industry, has been caught allegedly for drug abuse in Mumbai. The news that a female actor from Telugu industry was arrested started doing the rounds but the name is currently shrouded in mystery.
After a slew of raids conducted recently in Bengaluru, where some celebrities got arrested, another instance of actor’s involvement in narcotics has caused a flutter in the film circles on Sunday.
According to reports, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has reportedly conducted raids on a hotel in Mumbai suburb Bhayandar. Acting on a tip-off, the NCB sleuths raided the hotel where they seized 400 grams of MD (Mephedrone) worth Rs 8 lakh, besides arresting a Telugu female actor. Drug peddler Chand Mohammad Shaik, a resident of Bandra, too, was caught red-handed during the operation.
The actor is learnt to have travelled from Hyderabad to Mumbai on January 1 and reached the hotel at Bhayandar. Mystery is now surrounding the name of the said actor in question as the name hasn’t been revealed yet and both the industry and moviegoers are waiting to know who the actor is. Speculations are rife now with people wondering who it could be.
A case has been registered against the accused under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. And the investigation is on.
