Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president A Revanth Reddy wondered as to why the BJP State president Bandi Sanjay and MP Dharmapuri Arvind were not responding properly to the points raised by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao in respect of paddy procurement.

Speaking at a training programme organised for the Congress workers, Revanth Reddy maintained that the allegations and counter allegations being hurled between the TRS and BJP wer only meant to deny giving any scope for the Congress in the discussion.

He said the party would strive to fight for the peoples’ welfare in the State. He said the party was ready to conduct the AICC plenary in Hyderabad if the party president Sonia Gandhi permitted. He urged the party cadre to educate people in villages about the party’s activities.

If Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah were sincere, they should order a probe into the alleged irregularities in Kaleshwaram and Palamuru-Rangareddy projects. Revanth Reddy alleged that the TRS provided funds for the BJP during Tamil Nadu elections.

An agreement was also entered to ensure that the MIM contests in 100 seats during the forthcoming elections in Uttar Pradesh to divide votes and benefit the BJP, he said. He demanded a CBI probe into what he termed as corruptin charges agianst the Chief Minister.

He alleged that a minister had encroached land near Necklace road in Hyderabad and demanded a probe into it.
