Hyderabad: IT Minister KT Rama Rao said he inadvertently became a fan of Power Star Pawan Kalyan after watching the latter’s film ‘Tholi Prema’ during his college days, some 24 years ago.
Explaining the enigma of star Pawan Kalyan that made him stand apart from all other stars in the film industry, Rama Rao said, “We all are fans of ‘Tholi Prema’ and admirers of Pawan garu for the last 24 years. “
Speaking during the pre-release event of ‘Bheemla Nayak’ on Thursday, the Minister heaped praises on the Power Star.
“A lot of onscreen heroes have fans, but no other hero has as much cult following as Pawan Kalyan has. He is a kind and open-hearted man. He is revered more than just a film star,” Rama Rao said adding that he didn’t attend the event on behalf of the Telangana government but as a brother of Pawan Kalyan.
He further assured all necessary help from the State government to make Hyderabad a hub of not just Telugu film industry but the entire Indian cinema.
Appreciating the efforts of the team ‘Bheemla Nayak’, Rama Rao congratulated various other artistes like folk singer Mogalliah for getting introduced to Telugu silver screen.
