Widow murdered by nephew in Mancherial
Madavi Kousalya, a 50-year-old widow, was brutally murdered by her nephew Krishna during an argument in an agriculture field
Mancherial: A widow was murdered, allegedly by her nephew, at Kottur hamlet under Devunigudem gram panchayat in Jannaram mandal on Sunday. Luxettipet Inspector Allam Narender said Madavi Kousalya (50), an agriculture labourer from Kottur, was hacked to death by Krishna.
Kousalya suffered profuse bleeding and died on the spot after being attacked by Krishna, who was angry with her after she had recently reprimanded him for sitting idle. He picked up an argument with his aunt. In a fit of rage, Krishna killed Kousalya using an axe in her agriculture field.
Other farmers alerted her family members who in turn informed police. Kousalya’s husband died in the past and she had no children.
Based on a complaint received from a family member, a case was registered. Investigations were taken up.
