Hyderabad: The Ghatkesar police solved the murder of a security guard, with the arrest of three persons, including his wife and daughter, on Wednesday.

The arrested are Mohammed Javeed Hussain (24), Vaduluri Manisha (25), and Vadluri Sharadha (40).

According to the police, the victim, Vadluri Lingam (45), worked as a security guard and stayed with his family at Kavadiguda in Musheerabad.

On Monday, Sharadha, the wife of Lingam, complained to the police that the man was missing. The body of Lingam was found the next day at Edulabad lake in Ghatkesar. As the body had injuries, the police registered a case of murder and started an investigation to identify and nab the killers.

PV Padmaja, DCP Malkajgiri, said Lingam fought with his wife, who is a GHMC sweeper, frequently. He suspected that his wife was having an extramarital affair. Also, Lingam scolded his daughter Manisha for being in a live-in relationship with Javeed.

“Manisha, Javeed, and Sharadha planned to kill Lingam to end the harassment. They hatched a plan and strangled Lingam in the house at Kavadiguda. Later, they shifted the body in a cab and dumped it in Edulabad lake,” said the DCP.

After killing the man, Sharadha made a complaint with the police, stating that her husband had gone to work and was missing.
