Medak: An unidentified wild animal killed a calf on the outskirts of Islampur Thanda near Toopran in the early hours of Wednesday. Farmer Raju kept his cattle in a shed located on the outskirts of the village on Tuesday night.
When he returned to the place on Wednesday morning, he found one of his calves in a pool of blood. He immediately called Forest Range Officer (FRO) Amber Singh, who collected the pugmarks. The FRO asked farmers not to move alone until the wild animal retreated into the deep forest. He, however, said that they would keep a watch on the movement of the wild animal by deputing staff.
