Wild bison falls into agricultural well in Karimnagar, rescued
A wild bison that accidentally fell into an agricultural well at Odepalli village near Karimnagar was rescued by police and forest officials following an alert from locals and later released into a safer location.
Karimnagar: A wild bison fell into an agricultural well at Odepalli on the outskirts of Karimnagar town on Wednesday.
The bison, which emerged from nearby hillocks, accidentally fell into the well. Local residents who noticed the wild animal trapped in the well alerted the police. On receiving information, Kothapalli police and forest officials rushed to the spot and rescued the bison with the help of ropes.
Later, the officials released the wild animal in a safer location. Villagers appreciated the police and forest officials for rescuing the bison.
