Will consider setting up thermal power plant at Naini: Bhatti
Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said the Telangana government will study the feasibility of setting up a thermal power plant at the Naini coal block in Odisha. A team of officials will assess the proposal before a final decision is taken.
Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said the State government would consider setting up a thermal power plant at Naini in Odisha. The Deputy Chief Minister met Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at a hotel here on Friday.
During the meeting, he said a team of Telangana officials would study the feasibility of setting up a thermal power plant at the pit-head of the Naini coal block being operated by Singareni. After visiting the coal block, the Energy Department team would prepare an assessment. Based on the assessment report, the Telangana government would take an appropriate decision, he added.
