Hyderabad: Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy on Sunday assured to develop Secunderabad Parliamentary constituency in all fronts and make it as a role model to other constituencies in the country.

Reviewing various development works being taken up in the Parliamentary constituency at the BJP city office here, Kishan Reddy called upon the party cadre to educate people about the welfare and development works taken up by the Central government in the State. He said he would try to get more funds from the Central government after discussing it with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Minister said the Prime Minister was spending crores of rupees for the development and welfare of people in the country. At the same time, Modi was also striving for the development of Telangana State, he said.

“The Prime Minister is releasing crores of rupees of funds for Telangana to ensure that our State develop in all sectors,” Reddy said.

He claimed that the Central government was giving funds for free rice distribution, construction of double bedroom houses and highways. But the ruling party leaders were saying that the Centre was giving only assurances. “It is inappropriate on the part of these leaders to make such remarks,” he added.
