Hyderabad: Nights in Hyderabad could get colder.

Weather experts predict that the night temperature in Hyderabad, and a few neighbouring districts, is likely to dip by three to five degrees over the weekend. Looking at the situation, India Meteorological Department, Hyderabad, has issued a yellow alert for the city and other districts.

An average minimum temperature of 19 degree Celsiu, was recorded in the city in the early hours of Thursday. Rajendranagar recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 15.6 degree Celsius.

According to the data recorded at various Automatic Weather Stations (AWS) by Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS), the night temperature is likely to drop in various areas of the city on Saturday and Sunday. In several localities, such as Hayathnagar, LB Nagar, Falaknuma, Uppal and Malkajgiri, the night temperature might dip to 10 degree Celsius on these days. However, the northern parts of the city, including Alwal and Qutubullapur, are likely to enjoy warmer nights. IMD-H said the average night temperature of Hyderabad can range from 11 degree Celsius to 15 degree Celsius over the weekend.

While the night temperature in most parts of Telangana has been around 15 degree Celsius for the last two days, it is likely that many districts will witness a dip in the temperature.
