Hyderabad: In a disturbing incident, a mother has been accused of allegedly pressuring her own daughter into flesh trade in Alwal.

Unable to take up further harassment being meted out against her, the young woman fled from home and approached the local police. The incident came to light when she lodged a complaint at the Alwal police station.

Responding to the complaint, the police transferred the victim to a Sakhi Centre, a support facility for women.

However, on Thursday evening, the woman’s mother who learnt about it, along with another woman came to the police station and created public nuisance.

They abused the police personnel and demanded the young woman be handed over back to them. When the police officials refused to do so asking them to leave the premises, they created nuisance.

The police have registered a case against both women involved in the incident, and investigations are underway.|
