Hyderabad: A woman along with her paramour allegedly killed her husband at Vikarabad and tried to portray it as an accidental death.
The woman, Kavita was married to Ratnaiah, and the couple lived at Chowdapur village in Vikarabad district. A few months ago, the woman met a man named Ramakrishna, a local resident and the two entered into an intimate relationship, said the police.
Ratnaiah, began suspecting his wife’s fidelity and often picked up quarrels with her. “Realising her husband would catch them, Kavita along with Ramakrishna planned to kill Ratnaiah and marry. On Saturday, when Ratnaiah was returning home from the field, Ramakrishna ran his tractor over him leading to his instantaneous death.
The couple later said that Ratnaiah died after an unknown tractor hit him,” said the police.
However, a relative of Ratnaiah got suspicious and asked the police to probe the murder angle. The police took into custody Ramakrishna, who on interrogation admitted to killing Ratnaiah with the assistance of Kavita. Both were arrested and remanded.
