Hyderabad: A mason attacked a woman labourer at Kukatpally after the victim refused his sexual advances on Saturday night.
According to the police, the woman aged around 50 years and a resident of Janathanagar in Kukatpally was returning home after work along with a mason Ramu, who is known to her. When they reached an isolated spot near Khaitlapur area, Ramu stopped the bike and tried to outrage her modesty.
“When the victim retaliated, Ramu took a stone lying on the ground and hit on the head of the woman. He later escaped from the spot leaving the woman bleeding,” said T Narsing Rao, SHO Kukatpally police station.
The woman was found in a pool of blood by passersby who alerted the police. The victim was shifted to Osmania General Hospital where she is undergoing treatment.
