Mahabubabad: A woman allegedly beat her husband to death at Ram Singh thanda in Gudur mandal of Mahabubabad district.

According to the police, the deceased, Boda Lalu, a resident of Ram Singh thanda, lived and worked as a car driver in Hyderabad, while his wife Vijaya was engaged in agricultural activities in the thanda. The couple had differences and quarrelled frequently.

Lalu attended a family function on Wednesday and returned home during the early hours of Thursday. A heated altercation broke out between the couple, as it often did. In a fit of rage, Vijaya attacked her husband on the head with a grinding stone, and Lalu died on the spot.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Gudur police rushed to the scene. Preliminary investigations revealed that family disputes were the primary cause of the murder. A case has been registered against the woman and an investigation is underway, Gudur SI Giridhar Reddy said.
