Woman caught with marijuana worth Rs 5.7 lakh in Hyderabad

Hyderabad police arrested Rinita Raita of Odisha for allegedly possessing 11.4 kg of marijuana valued at Rs 5.7 lakh. The arrest was made by the Task Force (West) team in coordination with SR Nagar Police.

Hyderabad: The Task Force (West) team, along with the SR Nagar police, arrested a woman in alleged possession of 11.4 kg of marijuana worth Rs 5.7 lakh on Friday.

Police said Rinita Raita of Odisha is accused of acting as a sub-peddler and had come to Hyderabad to sell the narcotic substance to prospective consumers.


 

Youth killed in road accident near Uppal bus stand

Hyderabad: A youth was killed in a road accident near Uppal bus stand on Friday.

Mahesh (20), a private employee from Boduppal was riding a two-wheeler when the accident occurred. He accidentally fell under a moving bus and died on the spot due to grievous injuries.
