Hyderabad: A woman from Babanagar in the old city delivered quadruplets at a hospital in Mehdipatnam on Tuesday evening. The woman had got admitted to the hospital a couple of days ago after complaining of labour pains and the doctor performed a Caesarean section on her on Tuesday night. The quadruplets included three baby girls and a baby boy.

Dr Tayyaba Shukoor, gynaecologist with Mina Hospital at Mehdipatnam, who performed the surgery, said the mother and children were healthy. The operation began around 5 pm and lasted till 8 pm. “The babies weigh between 1.3 kg to 1.5 kg,” the doctor said.
