Nirmal: Family members of a woman who died after giving birth to a baby staged a sit-in in front of a private hospital holding doctors responsible for her death here on Saturday.
Afroz Ahmed Khan and his family members alleged that his wife Farhana (35) died after delivering a baby due to negligence of doctors belonging to the hospital.
He demanded stern action against the doctors of the hospital and compensation for losing his wife. They withdrew the protest when police assured them of justice by probing into the incident.
Farhana was admitted to the hospital when she experienced labour pains on Friday. She suffered profuse bleeding after undergoing a C-section at the hospital. She was shifted to a hospital in Hyderabad. But doctors declared that she was brought dead.
Based on a complaint received from Khan, a case was registered against gynecologist Dr Chandana of Devi Bai hospital. Investigations were taken up.
