Medak: A 26-year-old woman died by suicide at Chandi village in Shivvampet mandal on Tuesday, reportedly following a domestic dispute. The incident triggered tension in the area as her family blamed her husband and in-laws for her death.
The deceased, Dacharam Nagarani, had been married to Sathish for six years. The couple had a son and a daughter. However, tensions had reportedly been growing between them over the past couple of years.
According to the police, Nagarani had an argument with her mother-in-law over a petty issue on Monday. Depressed over the incident, she allegedly took her own life by hanging herself in the early hours of Tuesday.
Following the incident, her parents and relatives, residents of Elkanti in Siddipet district, reached Chandi and held Sathish and his parents responsible for Nagarani’s death.
Shivvampet Inspector Rangakrishna visited the spot and assured the grieving family that a thorough investigation would be conducted and stern action taken against those found responsible.
