Woman ends life after killing five year-old son in Vikarabad

According to the police, Aruna along with her son Pratik ended life by jumping into a well on the outskirts of Nawabpet village on Sunday morning.

Hyderabad: A woman killed her five year-old son and later ended her life in Vikarabad district on Sunday morning.

According to the police, Aruna was married to Ramulu and the couple along with their daughter and son stayed at Nawabpet village. On Sunday morning, Aruna along with her daughter Prajwala and son Pratik, went to a well on the village outskirts.


“On noticing the woman behaving in a strange manner, the girl started shouting loudly asking her mother to return home. Aruna then sent her daughter back home, threw the boy in the water and later jumped in the well,” said an official of Vikarabad police.

The girl rushed to the village and told the people that her mother was behaving in a suspicious manner and that she had sent her away. The villagers rushed to the place and found Aruna and her son drowned in the well.

On information the police reached the spot and shifted the bodies for postmortem to local government hospital. A case is registered. The police are investigating the case from all angles.
