Hyderabad: A 24-year-old woman from Andhra Pradesh has filed a complaint against her boyfriend in Hyderabad, accusing him of raping, impregnating and cheating her.

The woman from Bapatla, who works a private job and lives in a hostel in Madhuranagar, was five years into a marriage but was living separately from her husband due to conflicts.

According to her complaint, her distant relative, identified as Gopi (24), grew close and proposed love to her, which she accepted. He allegedly pressurised her to divorce her husband on the promise of marriage. After she divorced, Gopi had a physical relationship with her, leading to her pregnancy.

When she later discovered that Gopi was planning to marry another woman, she asked him to marry her, but he started avoiding her.

Based on the victim’s complaint, the Madhuranagar police booked a ‘Zero FIR’ case and transferred it to the KPHB police station on point of jurisdiction.
