Woman found murdered by unidentified assailants in Zaheerabad

Sangareddy: Unidentified assailants killed a woman at her rented house at Pasthapur village near Zaheerabad on Sunday.

The attackers threw chilli powder in her eyes and beat her to death with a small LPG cylinder. The woman was identified as Methai Lakshmi (47), a native of Cheelamamidi in Jharasangam mandal.

She had migrated to Zaheerabad a few years ago. Lakhsmi had been staying with her only son in the house. She used to eke out a livelihood by working as a labourer. The police reached the spot following information from locals.

The body was shifted to the government hospital in Zaheerabad for postmortem. A probe is on.
