Woman from Hyderabad arrested for duping youngsters in erstwhile Adilabad
A Hyderabad woman was arrested for defrauding 240 job seekers from Adilabad, Khammam, and Warangal. Operating through two front organizations since 2023, her gang extorted between ₹1 lakh and ₹2.50 lakh per candidate for fake educational jobs
Adilabad: A woman from Hyderabad, who was a member of a gang involved in a job fraud, was arrested on charges of duping hundreds of job seekers with the promise of getting jobs in educational institutions on outsource basis through two organizations, on Saturday.
SP Akhil Mahajan, in a statement, said that Sujatha Thakur had allegedly duped 240 job seekers from erstwhile Adilabad, Khammam and Warangal districts. She was booked for committing similar 20 offences reported across erstwhile Adilabad district. Three members of the gang were already arrested.
Police said that the members were reportedly duping the unemployed under the pretext of offering placements in schools and colleges through Anantha e-Solutions and Vidyadhan, a voluntary organisation based in Hyderabad since 2023. During investigations, the four were found to have collected somewhere between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 2.50 from each candidate.
