Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A pregnant woman from Koutala mandal centre has alleged that she was denied a teacher job even after receiving an appointment letter from Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. She submitted a complaint to Collector Venkatesh Dothre seeking justice on Monday.
The woman, Akukdkar Jyotsna, belonging to SC Colony in the mandal centre, claimed that she was selected as a teacher in the examination held by the District Selection Committee recently. She said she had received the appointment letter from Revanth Reddy, but was not posted in a school for reasons unknown. She also alleged that another candidate was recruited in place of her, causing injustice to her. She stated that the candidate secured 13th rank in DSC. She lamented that she was unable to run from pillar to post since she was into the 8th month of her pregnancy.
She urged officials to probe into the recruitment of teachers and requested them to take steps to provide the job to her. She declared that she would launch a legal battle against the officials if she was not appointed.
The District Educational Officer was not available for a comment.
