Hyderabad: A small idea can change a life. This line has been metaphorically used in several situations in the past. Now, adding to the list, this woman proves that an idea for positive change can do many unimaginable things.

Wondering what it could be? Recently, a woman shared a video on YouTube about having met an injured caramel-coloured butterfly, whose wing was either broken or underdeveloped. Taking it on her, the woman comes up with an idea to replace the broken wing with a feather.

Tik Tok user Dahlia (@flosferox) shaped the feather similar to the butterfly’s wings and glued it to give the insect a second chance to life. Dahlia then named the butterfly Nemo-Bucky the Bionic Butterfly.

However, it was not immediately that the butterfly learnt to fly high with the new wing set back. Well, as perseverance leads to perfection not only for humans but to insects and animals as well, the butterfly also gradually made progress and got stronger.

One day, “he flew up, up, higher and higher. Sat in a tree a while as if to say “thank you” and then flew away… I never thought it would be possible that he could be released, but he did it! He never gave up and now he is out there flying free,” Dahlia said in the video.

In the end of the video, we also see that Dahlia gets the butterfly inked on her hand with a quote saying: “Never give up”.

Soon after the video was posted, several netizens applauded Dahlia’s kind gesture for the butterfly. One user wrote: “This would make an excellent children’s book! So inspiring!”

Another wrote: “That is extraordinary”. “You gave this beautiful creature a new lease on life!! How beautiful and what a creative way to accomplish it!!! Loved this story(sic),” wrote a third user.
