Siddipet: A 65-year-old man was hacked to death by his 55-year-old wife following a quarrel in their house at Vitalapur village in Chinnakodur mandal on Thursday.

According to the Chinnakodur police, the deceased was identified as Markanti Yellaiah. Police said the couple used to fight over petty issues frequently. During a heated argument in the early hours of Thursday, Yellaiah beat his wife Narsavva. In a fit of rage, Narsavva attacked her husband with an axe, killing him on the spot.


A case has been registered following a complaint lodged by Renuka, the couple’s daughter. The body has been shifted to the Government Hospital Siddipet for postmortem. The Chinnakodur police have taken Narsavva into custody.
