Medak: Discarded Chinese manja continues to pose a serious threat to the public, with yet another woman sustaining serious injuries after coming into contact with the lethal kite string at Chegunta on Wednesday.
The woman, Cheri Maemma, a resident of Chandampet in Chinna Shankarampet mandal, was walking along the road when she came in contact with the discarded manja. She suffered a deep injury on her right hand, with blood reportedly flowing on the road.
Local residents rushed to her rescue and shifted her to a nearby hospital after administering first aid at the spot.
