Woman injured in chain snatching near Siddipet police station

Siddipet: A woman sustained serious injuries after two motorcyclists snatched her mangalsutra at the Akberpet-Bhumpally mandal headquarters on Friday morning. The incident occurred just a stone’s throw away from the police station.
The victim, Rangayyagari Annapurna (52), was out on a morning walk when the miscreants, wearing helmets, approached her and forcibly snatched her mangalsutra, causing her to fall. Annapurna suffered serious injuries to her neck and forehead and was rushed to the local hospital for treatment.
The police have registered a case and launched a hunt to nab the accused.
